Who we are

Test Prep (“we”, “us”) operates the adaptive test-preparation service at www.testprep.college. This policy covers that website and the practice application behind it. You can reach us any time at support@testprep.college.

What we collect

From Google, when you sign in

We use Google as our only sign-in method. When you sign in, Google gives us your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier. We ask Google for nothing beyond that — specifically, the openid, email, and profile scopes. We never receive your Google password, and we have no access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service.

What you tell us

• A previous test score, or that you are starting fresh
• Your target test date and target score
• Colleges you are considering, if you choose to add any
• The email address of a parent, guardian, or tutor you choose to invite

What your use of the service produces

• Your answers to practice questions, and whether they were correct
• How long you spent on each question and each session
• Your use of the on-screen calculator during a question
• A per-skill mastery estimate and a projected score derived from your answers
• Tutorials generated for you, and your progress through them

Technical information

Our hosting and error-monitoring providers automatically record standard server information: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamps, and error diagnostics. We use this to keep the service running and to investigate faults, not to build a profile of you.

Payment information

When we offer paid subscriptions, payments will be processed by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. We receive only a customer identifier, the subscription status, the last four digits and card brand, and the billing history needed to support your account.

How we use what we collect

• To create and secure your account, and to sign you in
• To choose the next practice question at a difficulty matched to your current estimated ability
• To calculate your skill mastery, projected score, and percentile standing
• To generate tutorials targeting the skills you are weakest in
• To show a linked parent, guardian, or tutor the progress you have allowed them to see
• To process subscriptions and provide billing support
• To send service messages you would expect: account and billing notices, invitation emails you triggered, and required subscription renewal reminders
• To diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and keep the service available

How we handle Google user data specifically

We use the information Google gives us for one purpose: to identify you so you can sign in and so your practice history stays attached to the right account. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not transfer it to anyone except the service providers listed below who host and operate this service on our behalf, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

You can disconnect our access at any time from your Google account permissions page. Disconnecting stops future sign-ins; to also remove the data we already hold, ask us to delete your account.

Artificial intelligence, and what gets sent where

Two features use a third-party large language model: the written explanation shown after a practice question, and the generated tutorials. When you use either, we send that model provider the relevant question content and a short summary of your performance context — for example the skill involved and whether you answered correctly.

We do not send your name, email address, or profile picture to the model provider. Practice questions themselves are drawn from our own reviewed question bank, and diagrams are generated deterministically from the question’s own parameters rather than by a language model.

Model-generated explanations can be wrong. Treat them as a study aid to be checked, not as an authority.

Who can see a student’s information

A parent, guardian, or tutor can see a student’s progress only after an explicit invitation has been sent and accepted. Access comes from that recorded link, never from someone simply claiming a relationship or knowing an email address. A student, or a guardian acting for a student, can revoke any link at any time, and revoking it ends that person’s access immediately.

Linked adults can see practice progress, scores, time spent, skill mastery, and answers. They cannot see billing details belonging to someone else, account credentials, or any other student’s information.

Service providers

We use the following companies to operate the service. Each receives only what it needs, and none is permitted to use your information for its own purposes.

• Google LLC — sign-in and account identity
• Vercel Inc. — website and application hosting
• Neon Inc. — database hosting for your account and practice history
• xAI, accessed through the Vercel AI Gateway — the language model behind explanations and tutorials
• U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard — public college admissions statistics, queried when you search for a school
• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing, once paid subscriptions are available
• Error monitoring and transactional email providers — for fault diagnosis and the account emails described above

All of these providers process information in the United States. This service is intended for users in the United States, and we do not offer it to users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose student practice data to advertisers, data brokers, schools, or colleges. We may disclose information if legally required to do so by valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, and we will tell the affected account holder unless we are prohibited from doing so.

Children’s privacy

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account and its associated data promptly.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and agree to our Terms of Service before you use the service, and a parent or guardian is the party responsible for any subscription.

A parent or guardian may review the information we hold about their child, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent and close the account, by writing to support@testprep.college. We will verify the request before acting on it.

We are not a school or school district, and we do not act as a contractor to one. If that changes, this policy will change with it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and practice history for as long as your account is open, because the value of the service depends on comparing your current work to your earlier work. When you close your account we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep records longer — billing and tax records, for instance — or where information has been aggregated so that it no longer identifies you.

Security

Traffic to the service is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted, passwords are never stored because sign-in is delegated to Google, and card details are never stored because payments are delegated to Stripe. No service is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

If a breach of security compromises unencrypted personal information, we will notify affected residents of State of South Carolina consistent with South Carolina Code § 39-1-90, and other affected users consistent with the law that applies to them.

Your choices

• See what we hold. Your practice history and profile are visible in the application; ask us and we will provide a copy of the rest.
• Correct it. You can edit your profile directly, or ask us.
• Delete it. Ask us to close your account and we will delete your personal information as described above.
• Cut off a linked adult. Revoke a parent, guardian, or tutor link at any time from your account.
• Stop the emails. You can unsubscribe from anything optional. Account, billing, and legally required renewal notices continue while your account is open.

Write to support@testprep.college for any of these. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially reduces your privacy — a new category of collection, or a new purpose we did not previously describe — we will give notice by email or in the application before it takes effect.
